9- The Humanities education at INSA Lyon aims to provide its students with a solid foundation of transversal skills ("soft skills"), which are an essential complement to their scientific and technical training. Led by the Center for Humanities and in collaboration with each department, it is structured into three areas:

INSA Lyon offers nine languages (German, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French as a foreign language, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian), with teaching adapted to each level group. Experienced level students may be offered optional thematic modules or project-based courses.
